Government policy should be based on science, evidence, and an approach that values all New Zealanders equally. There is no place for spirituality and race in the management of freshwater. The National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management is open for public consultation and we have the opportunity to tell decision makers what we really think about Te Mana o te Wai. But the Ministry for the Environment haven’t made it easy! The consultation process is unnecessarily complex and appears almost deliberately not user-friendly. Use our email tool to send the message that Te Mana o te Wai must be removed direct to the ministers.
